It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The classic Andy Williams song from 1963 comes to mind when I think of couples getting married at Christmastime.
It’s a time when families come together where everyone put aside all grievances and celebrate!
Let me say personally I don’t recommend holiday weddings. They tend to cost more, from costs of location to accommodation for holiday guests.
But for those who love the idea below is some inspiration for the season.
Below Preston Bailey created a snowy-white forest accented with sparkling silver. It’s every snow queen’s fantasy!

Lighting can be used as accents
You could use the traditional christmas colours of red and green
Gift Wrapped cake
Cranberries incorporated in the decor
Green favor boxes sit atop napkins, and pretty presents for guests rest on the chair seats.
You can be chic, rustic, modern, classically traditional with the decor, food, vows and dress.
Whatever you have chosen to do I hope you enjoy and have a fantastic time.
If your wedding is for Christmas 2014 remember to:
- Make reservations early
- send out early save the date as your guests will have to consider their family
- You will most likely have to make it a family affair – especially for out of town guests
- Provide entertainment for children
- If the flowers you’ve dreamed of will be in season
- Prepare for weather change (I had a wedding the day London stood still for snow. That’s a story for another day)
